The result will be a community theatre performance, which we will perform on the last day of the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who is the workshop for?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>For teachers, youth workers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students and youth aged 18 and over;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People who belong to minorities or disadvantaged groups (national or ethnic minorities, LGBTIQ+ people, people with disabilities, older people, foreigners living in Slovakia, etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Women and other people interested in history or social change;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For other interested parties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You don't need any previous experience <\/strong>with theatre \u2013 all you need is an openness and a desire to try something new! Theatre of the Oppressed is for everyone(!) and works primarily with members of communities or disadvantaged groups who jointly explore a certain problem and look for possible solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What can you expect at the workshop?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>In four days, we will develop<strong> an amateur community theatre play<\/strong> with a final performance on the last day of the workshop.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will learn the basic theory of the Theatre of the Oppressed and try out several of its <strong>important techniques<\/strong> (Image Theater, Newspaper Theater, Forum Theater).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will try out <strong>the participatory process of<\/strong> creating an amateur community theatre play.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will experience and learn <strong>a number of exercises and games<\/strong>that you can further use in your pedagogical or community practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will get to know <strong>the stories of women in the resistance<\/strong> during World War II.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thanks to creative techniques, you will learn <strong>more about yourself and society.<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is likely that after the workshop, you will have a greater <strong>desire to initiate changes<\/strong> in your community or surroundings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Basic information:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When?<\/strong> <strong>28. \u2013 31. 5. 2026 (from Thursday to Sunday)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where? It is a form of community education that uses theatre as a tool for change.
